The pre-season tours are just around the corner for clubs across Europe. Getting majority of the transfer business done before the pre-season is beneficial for clubs. Bayern Munich has also done significant business before players start reporting at Sabner Strasse for pre-season training next week.

Despite signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool, Bayern may still be active in the market for more attacking reinforcements. The further signings in the attack are likely to be young and one for the future instead of ready-made superstars like Mane.

In the coming weeks, Die Roten is likely to be linked with young forwards. Dynamo Kyiv’s Samba Diallo is one of the young wingers that are on Die Roten’s radar. According to TZ (via iMiaSanMia), Bayern has been keenly tracking Diallo for a long time. The Senegalese forward has impressed Hasan Salihamidzic and Bayern’s technical director Marco Neppe with his performances for Kyiv.

It remains to be seen if an approach for transfer is imminent from Bayern for Diallo. The Bavarian club will face stiff competition for the forward, as Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also interested in him. Dynamo Kyiv is not under pressure to sell since the 19-year-old winger’s contract doesn’t expire before 2026.

Diallo managed five goals in eight appearances in UEFA Youth League last season. He caught Bayern’s attention with his goals in this competition. The youngster still has a lot to develop and become a finished product. (Stats courtesy: Transfermarkt)

Getting consistent playing time should be his priority, but a big move like Bayern doesn’t come often. The Bavarian club will have to make sure that he gets decent playing time at the senior level. Considering the amount of competition in wide areas at Bayern, Diallo has to be very patient for opportunities. However, he will have a perfect mentor and compatriot in Sadio Mane at Bayern to learn from and improve his game.

The Bavarian club’s decision to sign more forwards will depend on what happens with the two senior forwards in the first team. Robert Lewandowski is pushing for a move to FC Barcelona, while Serge Gnabry is yet to sign a new deal. The German winger is set to make a decision on his future when he returns from vacation.

Diallo could take up Gnabry’s place in the first team if the German winger decides against signing a new deal. Bayern wants to avoid losing him on a free transfer. The next couple of weeks will give much more clarity on Die Roten’s plans to replenish the attacking department.
