After completing the signing of Sadio Mane this week, Bayern Munich will be looking to resolve the future of Robert Lewandowski one way or the other. The Polish striker is eager to leave this summer, while the German club insists that he will be playing in the Bavarian colours next season.
Barcelona has been tipped to be the likely destination for Robert Lewandowski. The Spanish club will reportedly make a second bid worth €50 million in the coming days. Even though Barcelona are firm favourites to sign the Polish striker, there is significant interest from other top clubs in Europe.
According to FootMercato, Paris Saint-Germain is working hard on signing Lewandowski this summer. The French club’s new advisor Luis Campos is eager to bring the Poland international to Paris. Pini Zahavi, Lewandowski’s agent, is not against a move to the French capital. Zahavi has enjoyed a good relationship with PSG.
Meanwhile, Die Roten is also putting in efforts to convince Lewandowski to stay in Bavaria for one more year. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Hasan Salihamidzic recently held talks with Zahavi and Lewandowski to change the forward’s mind. However, Lewandowski remains determined to bring an end to his time at Bayern.
Barcelona’s financial struggles have been well documented by the Spanish media. The Catalan club remains confident about signing Lewandowski, but they need to offload numerous players from the squad. PSG definitely has an opportunity to explore like they did last summer to sign Lionel Messi due to Barcelona’s financial problems.
Robert Lewandowski remains eager to play in Spain. Javi Martinez had insisted that Lewandowski believes that playing for a big club in Spain will give him a better chance to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or. The Polish striker has missed out on this award for the last two seasons despite enjoying brilliant goalscoring campaigns.
In an ideal scenario, Bayern would like a bidding war between PSG and Barcelona to get a big fee for the 33-year-old striker. The next couple of weeks will be crucial to deciding Lewandowski’s future since he would ideally like to join a new club before the start of the pre-season.

Die Roten has bolstered the attack with Mane. The Senegalese could be one of the replacements for Lewandowski since he can operate as a number nine. However, the Bavarian club will definitely look to sign another forward if the Polish striker ends up leaving this summer.
