Tanguy Nianzou

A former PSG youth graduate and currently a part of the Bayern Munich squad, defender Tanguy Nianzou was seen to be the next big defensive talent in Bavaria. The German Champions had managed to beat competition from several clubs to sign Nianzou on a free transfer from PSG in 2020.

The debut season for the French International was largely clouded by consistent injury problems. He was not available for a run of games due to the injuries, which eventually limited his chances. Salihamidzic tipped young Nianzou to become a key player for Rekordmeister in the long run.

The young Frenchman has struggled to get consistent playing time with the Bavarian side during his second season at the club. Moreover, he has struggled in the limited playing time that he got. His defensive errors have caused problems for Die Roten in the few games he came on the pitch.

Few reports have suggested that Die Roten is having doubts about Tanguy Nianzou. In an interview with Sky Germany (via Transfermarketweb), Julian Nagelsmann praised the young talent but emphasized reducing his errors.

"“Tanguy is a great talent with a lot of potential, but in the end, he must reduce his error rate, in training sessions or matches.”"

Die Roten will be looking to loan out the young Frenchman. A loan move to Bundesliga will benefit all parties, provided Nianzou gets the chance to play as many games as possible. The future for Nianzou will be decided in the upcoming months. His signing would be considered to be a flop under the Bayern Sporting director.
