Kingsley Coman
Coman’s chapter began in Bavaria at the end of the 2014/15 season. Rekordmeister signed the then 19-year-old wing wizard for two years on loan from Italian club Juventus. The fast and technically gifted Coman was considered one of the talented young forwards in European football at the time.
Coman became an important player in Bayern Munich, making 35 appearances for Die Roten in the first season. The French winger has incredible pace and trickery in his armour that causes headaches for opposition full-backs. The wide player shone in providing 12 assists, especially in the Champions League where he set up six goals. Until now, Coman has played 232 matches for Die Roten, scoring 49 goals and providing 56 assists.
In April 2017, Bayern exercised their option to buy the French International and signed the winger on a contract until 2020. Six months later, this was extended to 2023. The back-to-back contract renewal underlined his importance to the squad. He ended up scoring the winner for Die Roten in the Champions League final against Paris Saint Germain in 2020.
After years of frustration due to injuries, the last couple of seasons has seen Coman playing regularly and becoming a productive forward in the final third. Earlier this year, he signed a new contract with the club which will keep him in the club till 2027.
The footsteps that Coman followed after the departure of Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben in summer 2019 were huge, but the Frenchman showed he was up to the challenge. He delights the FC Bayern fans with his unbelievable acceleration, nimble dribbles, and dangerous finishes.
