The Bundesliga clubs will start looking to execute transfer plans once the season comes to an end next weekend. Bayern Munich has already started working on summer transfers. Along with signing new players, Die Roten also needs to decide the future of few senior players.

Corentin Tolisso is one of the few players in the first team that is looking certain to leave when the window opens in the summer. The French midfielder’s contract is set to expire in June, which will allow him to leave on a free transfer.

Die Roten had previously confirmed contract talks with Tolisso, but the German media had reported that he was set to leave Bavaria. However, a final decision is yet to be made on the French midfielder’s future.

While talking to the media after the draw against Stuttgart on Sunday (via AZ), Julian Nagelsmann admitted that a firm decision regarding Tolisso was not made. Meanwhile, Tolisso also insisted that he is not sure about where he will be playing football next season.

Meanwhile, Hasan Salihamidzic told Sport1 that both parties are aware of each other’s demands. With the season coming to an end next week, a definite decision is likely to arrive sooner rather than later.

Bayern and Corentin Tolisso will be better served by ending their five-year-long association. The French midfielder needs a change of scenery to get more playing time. He is unlikely to play regularly at Die Roten next season. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are first-choice midfield options, while the German club is also looking to sign a new midfielder.

Meanwhile, Die Roten cannot rely on the fitness of Tolisso. The French midfielder has spent a lot of time on the sidelines in the last three years due to various muscle injuries. Committing a long-term deal to a player with a poor fitness record will not be a wise move from Bayern.

When fit, Corentin Tolisso is a very good midfielder to have in the squad. He will not be short of offers if he decides to leave on a free transfer, which further highlights his immense quality. Both parties need to move in another direction at the end of the season for a better future.

The French midfielder did get an opportunity to play again this season to bid possible farewell to the Bavarian faithful. After suffering an injury in April, reports in Germany suggested that he will not play again this season. However, he managed to recover in time to get some playing time in the final few league games of the season.
