The last few years have witnessed an aggressive and smart approach at Bayern Munich when it comes to recruitment for youth teams. The Bavarian club has enjoyed good results from recruitment in the youth teams, including the big success story of Jamal Musiala in the first team.

The summer transfer window will see Die Roten continue to work on numerous deals to improve the youth teams. They will be focussing on getting the best talent in Germany and also keep an eye on numerous young promising players from across the globe. The latest update on recruitment at the youth level is the Bavarian club’s pursuit of a young German midfielder.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern is working on a deal to sign Noel Aseko Nkili from Hertha BSC. The 17-year-old midfielder is also attracting interest from RB Salzburg. Hertha BSC will have to cash in for the young midfielder in the summer as his contract is set to expire in 2023.

Noel Aseko Nkili plays in the number six position for Hertha and German youth teams. The youngster is likely to go in the U-19 team if he arrives in Bavaria before moving into the reserves team. If things go well for him at both levels, then there will be gradual integration into the first team like they have been done with the likes of Josip Stanisic and Musiala.

RB Salzburg’s impressive track record of developing young talent will make them an attractive destination for Nkili. However, Rekordmeister has also made good inroads over the last few years when it comes to getting the best out of young players and helping them fulfill their potential at the senior level.

Bayern has always made sure that they are first in the line to sign top German talent, so it is not surprising to see them working on a deal to sign Nkili. He is considered one of the promising players in the German setup. The youngster has already made an ample number of appearances for Germany’s U-17 team.

Meanwhile, Die Roten is expected to give playing time to some of the youngsters from the reserves team in the final three Bundesliga games. Julian Nagelsmann had insisted that the likes of Gabi Vidovic and Paul Wanner are expected to get playing time. The Bavarian club has already sealed the league title, so the outcome of the last three league games will not have a big impact. The senior players may get rested, while youngsters get opportunities to shine.
