In the upcoming summer transfer window, Bayern Munich will be focussing on getting the right value for the fringe players. The Bavarian club will see a few first-team players leaving on free transfers, while some young players will be looking to get more playing time by securing a move away from Die Roten.

Joshua Zirkzee is likely to be one of the young players that may end up leaving Rekordmeister in the summer. The Dutch forward is currently enjoying a productive loan spell at Anderlecht, but his future could lie at one of the top clubs in the Netherlands.

According to Spox, Ajax is interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee from Die Roten in the summer. The Dutch striker has only one year left on his contract. He has already hinted at leaving Bayern in the summer as he wants consistent playing time after enjoying a good season in Belgium.

The report from Spox also insists that Die Roten could use Ajax’s interest in Zirkzee to finally reach an agreement for the signing of Ryan Gravenberch. The German club has been trying to sign the young midfielder since the end of February, but both clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.

Bayern may propose a swap deal if Ajax’s interest in Zirkzee is concrete. The interest in Zirkzee could also point towards the possible departure of Sebastian Haller. The Ivory Coast forward is also one of the transfer targets for Die Roten, so there could be a lot of negotiations with Ajax in the summer.

Joshua Zirkzee endured a torrid second season in the first team at Bayern. He struggled to get consistent playing time, while the mid-season loan move to Parma turned out to be a disaster. The Dutch striker also had a poor pre-season with Rekordmeister last year.

Eventually, Die Roten agreed to a loan deal with Anderlecht. The young striker has been scoring for fun at the Belgian. He has managed to score 15 league goals this season. The Dutch forward will be looking to build on this season and polish the rough edges of his game.

A move to Ajax will benefit Zirkzee in terms of his development. The Dutch club is known for developing young players and helping them in fulfilling their talent. Along with Ajax, West Ham United has also been linked with Zirkzee, while Anderlecht is also keen on signing him permanently. Zirkzee will be hoping to resolve his future as soon as the summer transfer window begins in June.
