Bayern Munich: Marcel Sabitzer contemplating transfer in summer
The upcoming summer transfer window is set to witness a lot of incomings and outgoings at Bayern Munich. Along with addressing key areas of the squad, Die Roten will have to be smart when it comes to departures.
Niklas Sule is a certain departure in the summer. The German defender rejected a contract offer from Die Roten to sign a pre-contract agreement with Borussia Dortmund. Corentin Tolisso is also expected to leave Bavaria on a free transfer since there has been no update on a new deal for him.
Apart from Tolisso, there is likely to be one more departure in the midfield department at Die Roten. According to SportBild, Marcel Sabitzer is also considering a transfer away from Bavaria in the summer. The Austrian midfielder has struggled for consistent playing time this season after arriving at Die Roten from RB Leipzig in the last summer transfer window.
The report from SportBild insists that Sabitzer is unhappy with the lack of communication from Nagelsmann. The Austrian midfielder has hardly got starts in the Bavarian shirt this season. Moreover, his appearances from the bench are far from impressive. He has managed to get 875 minutes for Die Roten under his belt. Sabitzer is also yet to score or assist in a Bavarian shirt.
Marcel Sabitzer was expected to make an instant impact at Bayern since he had worked under Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig. The Austrian midfielder was a consistent and crucial player for Nagelsmann at Leipzig. Die Roten managed to seal a transfer for him at the very end of the summer transfer window.
Bayern will be hoping to recoup the majority of the transfer fee paid for Sabitzer if the midfielder asks for a transfer. The possible departure of Marcel Sabitzer may force Die Roten to keep Marc Roca for one more season. The Spanish midfielder is also expected to leave Bavaria due to a lack of playing time this season.

Meanwhile, Die Roten has already started working on improving the midfield department. The Bavarian club has made an offer for Ajax’s Ryan Gravenberch. The teenage midfield sensation has emerged as the club’s top target to improve the options in the center of the park.
Apart from Gravenberch, Die Roten is also looking to sign Noussair Mazraoui. The Moroccan right-back will be available on a free transfer when his deal at Ajax ends in June. The Bavarian club is also expected to sign a center-back to replace Sule.
