Bayern Munich: Predicted starting XI for trip to Hoffenheim
Couple of changes in the defense for Bayern Munich
Manuel Neuer made a comfortable return to the action on Wednesday after spending four weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury. The club captain was hardly tested against Salzburg, but he was a commanding presence in the box. He will start against Hoffenheim as he looks to builds match rhythm.
In the central defense, Nagelsmann could make one change for the game against Hoffenheim. Dayot Upamecano started on the bench against Salzburg, so he should be in line to get a start on Saturday. The German coach has been very consistent in rotating his center-backs throughout the season.
The other center-back for Die Roten will be Lucas Hernandez. The French center-back came off early in the second half on Tuesday since he was already on a yellow card. Hernandez has been doing fairly well on the left side of the defense.
Nagelsmann is likely to implement four at the back against Hoffenheim, so there could be a change in the full-back positions. Benjamin Pavard will be playing in the right-back position. On the other side of the defense, Omar Richards will get an opportunity to impress. It is the right time to give him more opportunities to develop into a very sound deputy for Alphonso Davies.
