Bayern Munich: Predicted starting XI for trip to Hoffenheim

After weeks of unconvincing performances, things finally clicked for Bayern Munich when they hosted RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Bavarian club delivered a ruthless performance to clinch a 7-1 victory and book a spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The next challenge for Julian Nagelsmann is to make this type of performance a norm instead of an anomaly. Die Roten needs to become more consistent if they want to win the Champions League and Bundesliga in the next two months.

From a performance point of view, the game against Hoffenheim on Saturday is equally important as the CL clash against RB Salzburg. Hoffenheim has been in tremendous form during the last couple of months, so it is a good challenge for Die Roten. A victory on Saturday will help Bayern in taking another big step towards retaining the Bundesliga title.

Even though the midweek game eventually turned out to be a comfortable outing for players, fatigue was accumulated due to the intensity of their passing and pressing. Nagelsmann may have to rotate the team a bit when they face Hoffenheim. It is a good opportunity for a few fringe players to impress Nagelsmann and force their way into the strongest starting XI at Bayern.
