Bayern Munich will opt for strongest midfield and attack against Furth
Die Roten has lost momentum in the last couple of games, so Nagelsmann will be eager to achieve it before the second leg against RB Salzburg at the start of March. A strong performance against Furth with the best possible team selection will be on the agenda for the German coach.
Nagelsmann will stick with the best midfield combination that is currently fit and available. Joshua Kimmich will start as the holding midfielder, while Corentin Tolisso will operate as the box-to-box midfielder. Marc Roca should be getting the opportunity to play in such games, but the current situation will make sure that Die Roten sticks with their strongest possible midfield selection.
In front of the midfield pivot, Nagelsmann will go with two number tens in Leroy Sane and Thomas Mullers. Both German internationals have excelled in this role throughout the season. The last couple of games has seen limited influence from Muller and Sane. Nagelsmann will be hoping that both players get back into a good rhythm against Furth on Sunday.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the attack for Rekordmeister on Sunday. The Polish striker was the only good performer against Bochum as he scored a brace. He will most likely get on the scoresheet on Sunday as he is on track to last season’s record of most Bundesliga goals in a season.
