Breakthroughs in contract negotiations

The final wish for the Bavarian faithful will factor in the long-term vision of Bayern. The Bavarian club has been focussing on contract renewals since the end of the last summer transfer window. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have already put pen on the paper to commit their long-term future to the club.

Serge Gnabry has been in talks with the club for a new contract. Even though talks with Gnabry are expected to drag into 2022, the general perception in the German media is that he will end up signing the new deal.

The real concern for Rekordmeister is the future of Niklas Sule, Lewandowski, and Kingsley Coman. Sule is the immediate priority since he has only six months left on his contract. Meanwhile, Coman and Lewandowski have 18 months left on their current deals. The future transfer plans of Die Roten will heavily depend on what happens with these three players.

Since all three players form the core of the first team, it is essential for them to sign new contract extensions and keep delivering quality performances for the club. The Bavarian club will be hoping that Santa grants their wish in contract negotiations, and things move in the positive direction with all three players.
