No injuries in Ruckrunde for Bayern

Bayern was unfortunate last season in the Champions League. The Bavarian club lost Robert Lewandowski to injury before the quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain. Die Roten went on to lose the two-legged tie on away goals. Lewandowski was heavily missed in both games as Rekordmeister was efficient in front of the goal.

Similar to Lewandowski’s injury last season, Die Roten has been very unfortunate in terms of injuries during the latter stages of the Champions League. Even though Bayern has won two Champions League titles, but it could have been much more if few injuries hadn’t taken place.

The current Bayern squad is far from perfect, but they do have a strong spine that can help them to challenge for the Champions League. It is essential that the core of the starting XI is available during the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

Avoiding big injuries in the second half of the season will be another Christmas wish from the Bavarian faithful and Julian Nagelsmann. Along with a little bit of fortune, proper rotation from Nagelsmann will also play a big role in terms of managing the workload of players. A fit squad of Bayern can definitely end the season by winning the Bundesliga and Champions League.
