Fans returning to Allianz Arena as soon as possible

The pandemic has shown over the past 18 months that football without fans in the stadium makes the game lifeless. Games have lost the entertainment factor in empty stadiums. Moreover, fans also play the role of the 12th man to provide support for players when they are trying to achieve extraordinary things.

The Bavarian faithful finally had some respite this season. The doors of Allianz Arena were open again for fans as things were getting back to some sort of normality in Germany. Die Roten managed to give special moments to fans in the games that were played with a capacity crowd in Hinrunde.

However, the happiness of fans was short-lived. The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has created havoc across the globe. Germany has once again imposed restrictions on fans entering the stadiums to watch football. The last few games of Hinrunde were played behind closed doors.

Along with the lack of emotions provided by fans, Rekordmeister also suffers financially due to the absence of fans. The Bavarian club had already confirmed €150 million in losses due to lack of matchday revenue. Bayern and fans will be hoping that Santa brings some sort of normality in the world and helps in bringing capacity crowd to Allianz Arena.
