Bayern Munich: Mickael Cuisance subject to multiple offers
The winners of Hinrunde in the Bundesliga will be Bayern Munich. The defending champions strengthened their hold at the top of the table on Tuesday with a ruthless 5-0 win against VfB Stuttgart. Julian Nagelsmann’s men are currently nine points clear at the top of the table, with one game left before the winter break.
Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski were the star men for Die Roten against Stuttgart. The German winger scored a hattrick, while Lewandowski ended the game with a brace. During the win against Stuttgart, there was playing time for fringe players such as Marc Roca and Mickael Cuisance.
Cuisance came on for the final 12 minutes against Stuttgart to get rare playing time for Die Roten in the Bundesliga. The French midfielder showed glimpses of talent in the number ten position. His performance further highlighted the need for consistent playing time to get back to his best.
The winter transfer window could be a busy one for Cuisance. According to Foot Mercato, Cuisance currently has multiple options to consider in January. As per this report, Venezia and clubs from Russia and Turkey have already made offers for Cuisance. The French midfielder is in no rush to make a decision since he wants an ideal project that will offer him consistent playing time.
Nagelsmann praised the French midfielder during the post-match interviews after the win against Stuttgart. The German coach hinted at a potential transfer in January while admitted that Cuisance needs consistent playing time to fulfill his potential.
It has been a difficult few months for Cuisance. After a poor loan spell at Marseille last season, Mickael Cuisance returned to Bavaria in the summer. He was linked with different clubs during the summer transfer window, but he ended up staying at Die Roten. The German club was also eager to listen to offers for him, but a transfer never materialized.
After failing to get a move in the summer, Cuisance struggled to get playing time this season. He did feature in the first round of DFB Pokal, but game time has been difficult to come by in the Bundesliga and Champions League. The French midfielder has been left out of the matchday squad whenever all midfielders are available for selection.
Rekordmeister will ideally like a permanent transfer for Mickael Cuisance. However, they may not get a good transfer fee for him since he played very little in the last six months. A good loan move can eventually help Die Roten to get a good fee or a good squad option for the next season. It is imperative for all parties that Cuisance gets regular playing time in the second half of the current campaign to kickstart his career.
