Midfield could see some forced changes for Bayern

Nagelsmann continues to lose players in midfield with each passing. Corentin Tolisso and Jamal Musiala had started in midfield against Mainz, but both players could miss the game against Stuttgart due to minor injuries.

Leon Goretzka is not 100% fit to start against Stuttgart, while Joshua Kimmich will not play before the Christmas Break since he is yet to train completely after recovering from COVID-19. However, Marcel Sabitzer is back in training and likely to travel with the squad to Stuttgart.

Numerous absentees in midfield open up an opportunity for Marc Roca to get the first Bundesliga start of the season. The Spaniard did perform well after coming off the bench against Barcelona and Mainz. Sabitzer will go straight back in the team and partner Roca in central midfield against Stuttgart.

Leroy Sane does deserve rest after starting so many games in the past few weeks, but he is unlikely to get one on Tuesday. Since Kingsley Coman and Musiala are doubts for the game, Sane will start on the left flank. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry will provide width on the right side of the attack. Thomas Muller should start in the attacking midfield role, with Robert Lewandowski leading the attack for the visitors on Tuesday.
