The final leg of the group stage in this season’s Champions League will come to an end this week. Bayern Munich have already won their group and sealed a place in the round of 16. However, the German Champions do have a vital role to play on Wednesday when FC Barcelona visit Allianz Arena.

Barcelona need a victory on matchday six to book a place in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Rekordmeister will be looking to inflict further damage on one of their European rivals. The Bavarian club will be eager to make it six wins out of six in the Champions League this season.

Die Roten come into this game after a thrilling 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The German Champions should aim to keep the winning momentum to end the year strongly by winning all games before the winter break later this month.

Barcelona has looked jaded this season after the departure of Lionel Messi in the summer. However, the Spanish club has some very talented young players that can cause problems for Die Roten.
