Setback in midfield, but options in attack for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich will be without their midfield general for the game against Arminia Bielefeld. Joshua Kimmich has been tested positive for COVID-19 this week, ruling him out for at least two weeks. Nagelsmann’s midfield selection is set to be crucial on Saturday as the same pairing is likely to play against Borussia Dortmund in the next game week.

Leon Goretzka had a good game in Kyiv. He has been occupying deeper positions in the absence of Kimmich. The German international will continue to play in this role against Bielefeld on Saturday. Corentin Tolisso is likely to be the midfield partner for Goretzka in this game.

Thomas Muller slots in the number ten position. The German forward has been one of the most consistent performers for Rekordmeister this season. He continues to remain the key source of creativity for Die Roten in the final third.

Leroy Sane is a definite starter on Saturday. Even though Sane has not scored in the last couple of games, he has looked very lively in the final third. Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman will start on the opposite flank against Bielefeld. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the defending Champions on Saturday.
