Wholesale changes at the back for Bayern Munich

Nagelsmann is looking for improvement in defense for Bayern after conceding poor goals in the past few weeks. He will definitely not make a change in the goal on Tuesday. Manuel Neuer will be looking to get the first clean sheet after not getting one in the past four games across all competitions.

In the defense, Die Roten will be without Niklas Sule and Dayot Upamecano for the game against Dynamo Kyiv. Sule is yet to recover completely from COVID-19, so he sits out of this game. Meanwhile, Upamecano has been suspended for this game due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

Nagelsmann will most likely go ahead with a back three of Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez, and Tanguy Nianzou. Hernandez has largely done well this season, so it will be interesting to see how he performs as the senior member in the back three. Meanwhile, Pavard and Nianzou need big performances to strengthen their case for keeping a place in starting XI.

Alphonso Davies will get the nod in the left wing-back role against Kyiv. The Canadian winger will have the duty of providing the width on the left flank. Josip Stanisic is missing due to COVID-19, so Serge Gnabry is likely to start in a wing-back role on the right side.
