Straightforward selection in midfield and attack for Bayern

Nagelsmann has straightforward decisions to make in the midfield against Freiburg. Marcel Sabitzer has been ruled out from the game against Freiburg due to illness. Barring any last-minute knocks, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka should be in line to start as midfield pivot for Die Roten on Saturday.

Kimmich and Goretzka have been consistent throughout the campaign, which has made it difficult for other midfielders to get a look in. Corentin Tolisso is likely to replace one of these two midfielders midway through the second half if Nagelsmann needs a bigger goal threat from the central midfield.

Thomas Muller has been relentless for Die Roten this week. He continues to show great precision in terms of picking the right pass in the final third. Moreover, he is also looking more potent in front of the goal. The German forward is undroppable in the current lineup, so he will be starting in the number ten position against Freiburg.

Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry have been in fine form over the past few weeks, so they will get the nod over other wide players on Saturday. Sane will start on the left flank, while Gnabry will hold width on the right side of the attack. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the German Champions.
