In the upcoming mid-season transfer window, Bayern Munich is unlikely to see high-profile departures. However, the fate of Corentin Tolisso could be subject to a lot of speculation in the build-up toward the winter transfer window.

The French midfielder is destined to leave Bavaria on a free transfer next summer. As of now, Rekordmeister has not made a contract renewal offer, so Tolisso will be open to negotiating terms with interested clubs. The latest report from Italy suggests that the French World Cup winner will not be short of important offers.

According to Calciomercato, Tolisso is likely to get multiple offers during the winter transfer window. Juventus, Inter Milan, and AS Roma are three Italian clubs showing interest in the French midfielder. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspurs are also keen on signing Tolisso on a free transfer.

Juventus had initiated contact with Tolisso last summer when the Italian club was struggling to sign Manuel Locatelli. The Turin-based club eventually signed the Italian midfielder, which scuppered a move for Tolisso. The French international ended up staying in Bavaria as no other club made their offer concrete by submitting a bid for him.

Tolisso has struggled for form and injury in the past couple of seasons. He enjoyed a very productive campaign, but a serious knee ligament injury in 2018 completely halted his progress in Bavaria. The French midfielder is consistently troubled with minor injuries, which eventually doesn’t allow him to get back from his best.

A move away from the club would help Tolisso to kick start his career. He is still 27 years old, so there is a lot of time for him to have a good career. From a financial point of view, losing Tolisso on a free transfer is not ideal for Die Roten. At the time of arriving in Bavaria from Lyon, Tolisso had become the club’s record buy.

However, getting a transfer fee was not a straightforward task for Die Roten. Tolisso’s consistent injury problems might have put off clubs from paying transfer fee in the last two transfer windows.

Apart from Tolisso, Niklas Sule is also likely to hold talks with clubs in January. The German defender has also entered the final year of his contract. As things stand, the two parties are yet to resume talks for a new contract. Sule had reportedly tried to engineer a move to Premier League in the past, so his current contract situation at Bayern can definitely help him to secure a transfer to England.
