The transfer speculation does intensify to an extent during the international break as clubs don’t play games for close to two weeks. Bayern Munich has been linked with few players in the past few days, but the strongest links have been related to RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi.
Earlier this week, it was reported in Germany that Bayern has held talks with Adeyemi’s agents. Other top clubs in Germany and Europe are also keenly following the situation of the young forward. Spox has provided a significant update about the Bavarian club’s interest in Adeyemi.
According to Spox, the defending Bundesliga Champions are looking to seal a deal for Adeyemi as soon as the winter transfer window opens in January. This quick approach from Rekordmeister is influenced by the player’s growing reputation and interest from other top clubs.
Adeyemi could end up staying at RB Salzburg for the rest of the season as Die Roten is open to loaning the young player back to the Austrian. As of now, Salzburg will reportedly demand a fee between €35-40 million for the young German forward. If he continues to enjoy a good season, then the asking price for Adeyemi is likely to go higher.
Bayern Munich will do exceptionally well to complete Adeyemi’s signing in January. Spox does suggest that the young forward will prefer a move to Die Roten since his family stays in Bavaria. However, Salzburg will ideally want a bidding war to get a big fee for the youngster.
Adeyemi has been one of the most in-form young forwards in Europe this season. He has been scoring goals for fun in Austrian League with eight league goals to his name. The German international has also delivered impressive performances in the Champions League this season.
The 18-year-old forward is tipped to be a big player for the German National team after he scored his first goal for the country during the international break in September. Since Rekordmeister is focussing on adding more young German talent to the squad, Adeyemi becomes an important target to enhance the attack.
Meanwhile, Bayern has received a significant financial boost after suffering huge losses in the last 18 months due to the pandemic. The defending Bundesliga Champions will be able to have fans at full capacity in Allianz Arena after the international break. Matchday revenue is critical for Die Roten, so this is significant news for the club.
