Bayern Munich hold talks with RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi
Bayern Munich is expected to be focussing on young German talent in the upcoming transfer windows. The defending Bundesliga Champions are eager to strengthen the German core of the squad. RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi is one of the players that is subject to interest from Bayern.
According to the latest update from Sky Sports, Bayern has already approached Adeyemi’s entourage to explore a transfer next window. This report also insists that Red Bull Salzburg will demand €40 million for the prolific young German forward.
Apart from Die Roten, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have also held talks with Adeyemi’s agents. Rekordmeister will also face competition from other European clubs as Liverpool has also been linked with a move for the teenager.
Adeyemi has enjoyed a prolific start to the campaign with RB Salzburg. The German forward has scored ten goals for the Austrian club this season, including two goals in the Champions League. The teenager has primarily operated as center-forward for Salzburg, but he can also play in wide positions. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
Hansi Flick has already handed Adeyemi his debut for the German National team. The youngster came off the bench to score his first goal for Germany during the international break in September. Considering his form at the club level, Adeyemi is likely to get more game time for Flick’s team in the current round of international games.
Adeyemi had a brief stint at Bayern’s youth academy. The Bavarian club has been consistently linked with him ever since he continued his rapid development at other clubs. Rekordmeister will be definitely in the race for him next summer if he continues to get better at Salzburg.
Die Roten may have to look for a forward next season since there is a lot of uncertainty over the future of Kingsley Coman. Adeyemi can come in and operate on the flank, along with filling as a center forward when Robert Lewandowski is rested. The youngster may not be an instant starter, but he can slowly and steadily become a pivotal player for the Bavarian club.
Apart from Adeyemi, Rekordmeister may look at Florian Neuhaus and Riddle Baku as potential signings for next summer. The defending Bundesliga champions also hold interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, but he is unlikely to leave next summer. Bayern has been trying to build a team that allows them to enjoy sustained success, so signing young German talent will definitely help them in achieving this target.
