Bayern Munich has been flawless after the first international break as they have been churning out good results and performances. The German Champions might be disappointed after being reduced to ten men on Friday, but the team held the nerve to clinch the victory against Furth.

Leroy Sane has played a big role in Bayern’s good results in the past few weeks. The German winger had a good international break with Germany, which has eventually given him much-needed confidence to improve his performances for Rekordmeister.

Sane has been much more potent in the final third, and his decision-making from the left flank has been spot on. He has also carried a consistent goal thread whenever Nagelsmann has used him as a winger on the left flank.

The German winger has received a lot of criticism in the past 12 months for his inconsistency at Die Roten. While speaking to AZ, former Bayern striker Mario Gomez heaped praise on Sane for his recent performances and urged him to extend the current run of form for a longer period.

"“In Germany, character is often questioned. There are always phases in a career when things are not going optimally.”“Sure: Leroy is extroverted, but not one who trumpets around. He just wants to play. Julian Nagelsmann thought about it, put Leroy on his left side, dealt intensively with him and it works again. I’m so happy for him. Leroy Sané is also fully back. I hope he maintains it now.”"

Sane endured a torrid start to the campaign as he struggled to make an impact from the right flank. The German winger was also jeered by the home fans during 3-2 win against FC Koln in the second game week of the season.

Nagelsmann eventually decided to give more playing time to Sane from the left flank. The 25-year-old winger has looked much more potent in this position as he has racked up two goals and three assists in the last four games across all competitions. Sane has also looked more threatening when he is cutting inside from the left flank.

After a turbulent start, Sane is slowly finding his feet in the team under Nagelsmann. The German coach is likely to use him on the right flank again, but for now, he seems to have done enough to get an extended run on the left. After getting back the confidence, it is all about maintaining consistency in his performances.

Die Roten will be looking to round off a successful month by clinching victory against Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday. The Bavarian club will have one more league game against Eintracht Frankfurt before the second international break. Sane will be looking to end this phase of the campaign strongly after gaining confidence and momentum in the past few weeks.
