Changes in midfield could take place against Bochum

Leon Goretzka is reportedly a doubt for the game against Bochum due to a knock in training. The German midfielder may get a break after an industrious performance against Barcelona on Tuesday. Marcel Sabitzer could make his full debut for Die Roten on Saturday by replacing Goretzka in the center of the park.

The Austrian defender also has a similar work rate like Goretzka in the center of the park, so it is a like-for-like replacement. Joshua Kimmich will partner Sabitzer in the center of the park. The German international will operate as a holding midfielder, while Sabitzer will operate as a box-to-box midfielder.

Kingsley Coman has been ruled out for the game against Bochum after undergoing a minor surgery this week to resolve a minor heart problem. Jamal Musiala is likely to get the nod on the left flank after yet another impressive display on Tuesday.

On the right flank, Serge Gnabry will get the start against Bochum. Gnabry was on the bench at Camp Nou after recovering from a minor knock earlier this week. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the German Champions, while Thomas Muller will slot in the number ten position behind the Polish striker.
