Nagelsmann may rotate defenders against Barcelona

Manuel Neuer would be disappointed after missing out on the clean sheet against RB Leipzig. The German shot-stopper has a chance to make quick amends by stopping Barcelona from scoring on Tuesday.

In the central defense, there could be one change from the game against Leipzig. Lucas Hernandez featured on Saturday on the left side of the defense, but he may start on the bench. The French international has just returned from a serious injury, so playing two consecutive games could turn out to be counterproductive.

Hernandez will ideally make way for Niklas Sule in central defense. The German international has enjoyed a good start to the season, so it was a bit harsh for him to sit out of the game against Leipzig. Dayot Upamecano will be the other center-back that will start against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Alphonso Davies will be looking to torment Barcelona once again as he is in line to start in the left-back position on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Josip Stanisic might get playing time at the biggest stage in the right-back position. Since Pavard is also returning from a serious injury, he might have to start on the bench against Barcelona after starting against Leipzig on Saturday.
