Robert Lewandowski has hit the ground running in the new campaign straightaway. The Polish striker reportedly wants to experience a new challenge, but it was unlikely to happen this summer. The Polish striker has not allowed speculation to affect him by scoring loads of goals in August.

In the first league game of the season against Borussia Monchengladbach, Lewandowski scored the vital equalizer to help the team to come home with one point. The Poland captain came back to haunt his former team once again in the next game. His brace against Dortmund in DFL Supercup helped Die Roten lift the first trophy of the season.

After an enthralling performance against BVB, Lewandowski scored a crucial goal in 3-2 win against FC Koln. He rounded off a very productive month with a hattrick against Hertha Berlin last weekend. Seven goals in four games for Lewandowski has set the tone for yet another high-scoring campaign.

Lewandowski is ageing like a fine wine as he continues to score at an amazing rate. Despite turning 34, Lewandowski remains the best number nine in Europe right now. Die Roten and Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping that Lewandowski continues to replicate the current form for the rest of the campaign.
