Bayern Munich had a very difficult last two weeks in terms of their hopes of retaining the Champions League title. With a weakened side due to injuries and coronavirus, Die Roten was knocked out of the competition by Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals on away goal.

Hansi Flick’s men delivered a heroic performance in Paris on Tuesday, but 1-0 win was not enough for them to go further in the competition. The damage was done at Allianz Arena last week as PSG clinched 3-2 win against the defending Champions.

With two cup exits (Die Roten was eliminated from DFB Pokal in January by Holstein Kiel), Rekordmeister only has Bundesliga to play for in the final weeks of the season. The immediate attention shifts towards Bundesliga with an away clash against Wolfsburg on Saturday.

Bayern dropped two points against Union Berlin last Saturday, but they still have a lead of five points at the top of the league table. Wolfsburg has been in fine form throughout this season, placed at third position in the table, so Saturday is going to be a tough assignment for Flick’s team. Let us look at the team news for Die Roten before moving on to the possible starting XI.
