Lewandowski potentially reaching 30 goal mark in the Bundesliga

Due to commitments at the Club World Cup, Bayern will play one league game less than other teams. Arminia Bielefeld, FC Koln, and Hertha Berlin are the teams that Die Roten will be facing in the Bundesliga during the next four weeks.

Considering the rate at which Robert Lewandowski is scoring at the moment, there is a strong possibility that he can be on 30 league goals by the end of the month. Ever since the end of November, Lewandowski is averaging at least one goal in every Bundesliga game. He has scored 12 goals in the last nine games for Die Roten, which includes three braces.

The Polish striker is currently sitting on 24 goals in the Bundesliga, leading the race for Bundesliga and European golden boot by a country mile. The second best in the Bundesliga is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Andre Silva with 16 goals.

If Lewandowski manages to achieve the feat of scoring 30 goals by the end of February, he will be on track to break Gerd Muller’s record of 40 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign.  He will have 12 league games to score 11 games to break that record provided six goals are scored in the next three games. It is a big mountain to climb, but one that can be definitely scaled by Lewandowski.
