MID, Marc Roca-7/10

Roca made his first appearance in the starting 11 since the UEFA Champions League group stage match against Lokomotiv Moscow in December. He made the most of his appearance as he produced one of his best performances since arriving at Bayern. The midfielder had two shots along with one key pass during his 68 minutes on the pitch.

When it came to defending, Roca produced one tackle, one interception, and one blocked shot. After a tough adaptation period for the Spanish midfielder, this is the time for him to step up and deliver performances in the absence of Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez.

MID, Joshua Kimmich-8/10

This was another brilliant performance from Bayern’s star midfielder. Kimmich picked up an assist on the successful corner kick conversion and registered three key passes. When it came to distribution, all six of Kimmich’s long ball passes reached their target as he completed 90% of all his pass attempts.

There’s no question Kimmich has been instrumental for Bayern during this four-match winning streak they are currently on in the Bundesliga. Despite playing in a deeper role, Kimmich has managed to hit ten assists this season. His presence in midfield not only helps in speeding up the build-up play but also adds more threat from set-pieces and creativity in the final third.
