Smashing Schalke in first gameweek of the Bundesliga

Bayern Munich sent out a warning to all title rivals in the first game week of the season. The defending Champions delivered an exhilarating performance against Schalke in September. The hosts managed to score eight goals in the game, showing their prowess in the final third.

Serge Gnabry was the star of the show as he clinched his first league hat-trick for Die Roten. The German forward was sensational throughout the game, causing problems for Schalke’s defense with his runs and trickery. In front of the goal, he was ruthlessly finishing every clear-cut chance.

Leroy Sane was also impressive in his league debut for Die Roten. The former Manchester City winger scored one and created two goals during the game. He is yet to emulate that kind of performance yet, but Sane showed every quality that Bayern wanted from him during the game against Schalke.

Jamal Musiala also grabbed a goal on his Bundesliga debut. The youngster came on late in the game to score Die Roten’s eighth goal. From minute one to 90, Bayern was in cruise control. They didn’t concede big chances and sustained attacking moves in the final third. It was a clear indication from the team that they are hungry for more success after winning the treble last year.
