Top three performances for Bayern Munich during a successful Hinrunde 2020/21.

Bayern Munich had a successful Hinrunde as they went in the winter break at the top of the table. They currently lead the table by two points. Hansi Flick’s team has shown no signs of getting the foot off the pedal as they are hungry to retain all titles.

Along with Bundesliga, Die Roten has done fairly well in the cup competitions during the first half of the season. They clinched five wins in the Champions League group stage to book a place in the round of 16, where they face Lazio in February and March. Flick’s men have also progressed in the next round of the DFB Pokal.

Hinrunde is a term largely related to the Bundesliga, so we will stick to focusing on Bayern’s performances in the past four months. It has not been a flawless performances week in week out for Die Roten, which is understandable as fixtures are piling up due to this unusual season.

Despite some poor performances, Die Roten has managed to clinch more victories than other teams. Talking about areas of improvement can be kept for another day, so let’s focus on the top three performances during Hinrunde that gave joy to the Bavarian faithful.
