ST, Robert Lewandowski, 9/10

The Bayern legend continues to rack up the goals in the 2020/21 season. Lewandowski concluded an incredible week with another two-goal performance. The Polish striker registered two goals against Wolfsburg mid-week and then scored another two against Leverkusen. After being named FIFA’s Best Men’s Player of the Year, this match was the perfect example of why he deserved to be awarded the honor. He continues to lead the way to victory for Die Roten.

Substitutes

FWD, Leroy Sane, 6/10

Sane replaced the injured Coman in the first half and went on to play 36 minutes before being taken off in the 67th minute. The winger played a role in the first goal of the match as he set up Müller to send in the cross that resulted in Bayern’s first goal. Sane is another player who can hopefully emerge from the winter break in better form and begin to score goals consistently again.

FWD, Jamal Musiala, 7/10

Musiala entered in the 67th minute and nearly scored in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, his effort hit the post. He nearly played the role of the super substitute and it would have been his fourth goal of the Bundesliga season. The 17-year-old continues to impress week in and week out.

MID, Joshua Kimmich, 8/10

In his first appearance for Bayern in six weeks, Kimmich was able to make an impact as a substitute. The midfielder set up Lewandowski for his match-winning goal after taking the ball away from Tah. Bayern will be glad to have their star midfielder back in the lineup as the quest for another Bundesliga and Champions League title continues.
