MID, Leon Goretzka-7/10

Goretzka was not able to get forward as much during this match as he registered no shots on goal or any key passes on the attack. According to WhoScored’s heatmaps, Goretzka stayed in the midfield while Musiala was the player who went forward more often.

The German international anchored the midfield while on the pitch and finished with two tackles, one blocked shot, one clearance, and one interception.  Flick confirmed that Goretzka came off due to an injury. Hopefully, it is not a serious injury as the German midfielder is one of the key players for the defending champions.

MID, Jamal Musiala-6/10

The 17-year-old made his eighth appearance for Bayern in the Bundesliga this season. Musiala finished with two tackles and one interception. He continues to play with lots of confidence and had an overall good showing considering he was playing in an unusual position. The 17-year-old midfielder was one of the better players for Die Roten on Saturday.

The English teenager has come leaps and bounds this season, gaining the trust of Hansi Flick. Moreover, he is not afraid to take responsibility when he is on the ball. As the season progresses, Musiala is going to get better.
