Champions League win against Paris- Saint Germain in Lisbon

The top of the list has to be the night in Lisbon when Bayern became the second European club to win two trebles. Die Roten had shown great skill and resilience to clinch a 1-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Champions League.

The German club has been dying to win the CL ever since the departure of Jupp Heynckes in 2013. Top managers such as Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti arrived in Bavaria but couldn’t guide the club to the pinnacle of European football. Even the interim spell of Heynckes was not able to ease the CL heartache of the club.

Every year it was a frustrating end to the CL campaign for Bayern. Flick came in and won it straight away in an emphatic manner. The German manager showed great tactical acumen to beat some of the best clubs in Europe. Most importantly, Rekordmeister won every game in the competition while scoring goals for fun and becoming a defensive powerhouse.

Flick has written his name in the history books of Bayern. He will always be remembered fondly by the fans for bringing the CL trophy back to Allianz Arena. The other trophies during the campaign were impressive, but nothing beats winning the CL.
