Assessment of midfielders Hansi Flick will have at FC Bayern Munich during the 2020/21 season.

FC Bayern Munich boasted one of the best midfield department last season that helped them to win the Champions League after eight years. Since the current crop of players is hungry for more success, the club will be looking to emulate last year’s success.

Defense and attack get the plaudits since they directly deal with goals. However, a successful campaign in Europe needs a strong midfield that can outnumber, outrun, and outplay the opposition home and away.

The performances against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspurs in London, and Barcelona in Lisbon were a consequence of superiority Bayern had in the midfield. On very few occasions, the team lost control of the game by surrendering possession. The chance creation for forwards was facilitated by midfielders, along with giving an ample amount of protection to defense.

We did look at midfield options for the new campaign in April, but things have completely changed since then due to the summer transfer window. Let us have a look at the set of midfielders Hansi Flick will have this season after numerous changes that took place in the last five months.
