Team News for Bayern Munich

Bayern received positive news on the injury front during the international break. Leroy Sane was back on the pitch as the German winger continues to recover from an injury that he suffered after the defeat against Hoffenheim. He is still some weeks away from returning to action, but training on grass is a step in the right direction.

Along with Sane, Tanguy Kouassi was also back on the pitch. The French defender has been on the sidelines since the start of September. Kouassi was ruled out for six weeks, so he still needs more time to completely recover and make his debut.

Robert Lewandowski shrugged off a knock to play for Poland this week. The Polish striker trained with the squad on Friday, so he is likely to be fit for Saturday’s game against Bielefeld. Die Roten were fortunate that there were no serious injuries during the international break.

Flick had to rotate heavily in the DFB Pokal tie against FC Duren as players had less time to recover from the games in the international break. The German manager admitted that senior players did the recovery process on Thursday, allowing them to train with the squad on Friday.
