Opposition Focus

Hoffenheim struggled defensively against FC Cologne, conceding the equalizer late in the game before scoring an injury-time winner. Similar defensive frailties can be severely exposed against Die Roten, so Hoeness will be looking to set up in a much compact shape on Sunday.

Diadie Samassekou and Dennis Geiger will be sitting deep to provide cover to the three-man defense. The duo will be looking to break the play and set up the wing-back and find Christoph Baumgartner between the lines.

Andrej Kramaric will be the main man for the hosts. The Croatian form started the campaign with a brilliant hat-trick against FC Cologne. Kramaric will be looking to exploit Die Roten’s vulnerabilities at the back. It will be an exciting battle between him and Rekordmeister’s defenders. The German Champions looked ruthless in the final third against Schalke, so it could be a goal-fest on Sunday.
