Match Preview: Bayern Munich face a strong Hoffenheim side
Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich
Despite playing on Thursday, Flick is likely to stick with the majority of players in the starting XI. Manuel Neuer showed his class against Sevilla by making two big save at the end of 90 minutes to keep Die Roten in the game. The German international will be looking to collect his second clean sheet of the league campaign on Sunday.
In central defense, Niklas Sule will continue to feature as he is close to regaining his pre-injury form with consistent playing time in the past few weeks. The German defender will partner Alaba in the heart of the defense. Alphonso Davies is likely to get his first start of the season against Hoffenheim, while Benjamin Pavard will slot in the right-back position.

Joshua Kimmich will be the anchor in the midfield against Hoffenheim. The German midfielder delivered a sublime performance against Schalke, but he couldn’t impose himself against Sevilla. Corentin Tolisso may get the nod ahead of Leon Goretzka on Sunday as Flick may decide to give Goretzka rest ahead of Wednesday’s DFL Supercup clash against Borussia Dortmund.
Considering Coman’s lack of match rhythm, Flick will have to stick with the attack that featured against Sevilla. Leroy Sane will start on the left flank, while Serge Gnabry will occupy the right side of the attack with Thomas Muller playing behind the striker. Robert Lewandowski missed few chances on Thursday, so he will be eager to get on the scoresheet against Hoffenheim.
