Team News for Bayern Munich

After playing 120 minutes against Sevilla on Thursday, there will be few knocks for Bayern players. However, there were no significant injuries during the game. Alphonso Davies should be fit to start on Sunday after getting some playing time from the bench against Sevilla.

David Alaba has also recovered from a minor injury as the Austria international started in central defense in Supercup. He did come on late in the game, but it was due to the fact that he was already on a yellow card and the German champions were looking to see out the game.

Kingsley Coman is set to return for Die Roten on Sunday. The French winger has completed the quarantine period and joined the main group on Saturday. Coman has not featured in the last two games after one of his entourage was tested positive. Due to a lack of minutes under his belt, Coman is likely to start on the bench against Hoffenheim.

Javi Martinez‘s move away from Bavaria is not close to completion, so he trained with the first team on Saturday. The Spaniard is likely to be part of the squad that will travel to Hoffenheim. Tanguy Kouassi remains the long term absentee for Die Roten as he continues recovery from a thigh injury.
