Team News for Bayern Munich

Hansi Flick will receive a boost for the game against Sevilla as David Alaba recovers from muscle injury. The Austrian defender sat out of the game against Schalke last weekend. There has been growing speculation surrounding his future after Uli Hoeness and his entourage criticized each other in the media. However, Alaba remains a key man for Flick, so he travelled with the squad to Budapest.

Alphonso Davies is also likely to be involved against Sevilla. The teenage full-back was training alone last week, and eventually, started on the bench against Schalke. Davies didn’t come off the bench, but that is likely to be for precautionary reasons, and Lucas Hernandez was also performing well against Schalke.

Javi Martinez travelled with the squad to Budapest. The Spanish midfielder was not involved with the team’s photoshoot on Monday, and he had reportedly left the club. As things stand, he is still a Bayern player, but a move is more than likely to materialize before the deadline day.

Kingsley Coman is still under quarantine, so he will not feature on Thursday. The Frenchman is yet to start training with the first team. Tanguy Kouassi is the only absentee due to injury. The French defender suffered a serious injury during the international break, keeping him out for at least six weeks.
