Leroy Sane vs Marcos Acuna

The much-awaited debut of Leroy Sane for Bayern Munich finally took place against Schalke on Friday. The German winger has been waiting for this opportunity since completing a move from Manchester City in July. Sane shone against his former club as he scored once and grabbed two assists at Allianz Arena.

Sane kept on switching positions with Serge Gnabry throughout the game. Both German forwards showed what the future holds for the club as they combine for goals against Schalke. Sane does prefer playing on the right flank since it allows him to cut inside on his favoured left foot.

The German international will come up against Marcos Acuna on Thursday. The Argentine full-back will be making his competitive debut for Sevilla. He joined the Spanish club from Sporting Lisbon last week, replacing the outgoing Sergio Reguilon in the squad.

Acuna is an attacking left-back, so Sane will have a lot of opportunities to hurt the full-back on the counter. Both players have pace and trickery in their arsenal, so it will be an intriguing watch. Sane has not been part of the treble-winning campaign, so he will be eager to deliver a strong performance on Thursday to lift his first trophy in Bavarian colours.
