Three key battles to watch out when Bayern Munich face Sevilla in Super Cup.

After starting the season on a strong note against Schalke, Bayern Munich shifts focus towards the first trophy of the campaign. The European Champions will be battling against Sevilla in Budapest for UEFA Supercup on Thursday.

Die Roten qualified for this competition after clinching the Champions League title against Paris-Saint Germain last month. The German club won all 11 games in the competition to bring the glittering CL trophy back to the Allianz Arena and complete the treble for the second time in the last seven seasons.

Meanwhile, Sevilla continued their good run in Europa League last month. The Spanish club has made a habit of winning the competition consistently in the last decade. Sevilla clinched the trophy for the sixth time with impressive performances against Inter Milan and Manchester United in the latter stages of the competition.

Sevilla has been one of the impressive Spanish sides in the past few seasons. Die Roten are favourites for this game, but it will not be a straightforward victory. Flick and Die Roten players have lately talked about maintaining the hunger to win more trophies, so Thursday will be a good test for this group of players. It will be a fascinating tactical battle between two teams, but some individual duels will have a big impact on the outcome of the game. Let us look at the three biggest matchups to watch out on Thursday.
