FWD, Robert Lewandowski—8/10

The reigning Torjägerkanone winner started his season off with a goal and two assists. He converted a spot-kick in the first half after drawing the penalty himself. In the second half, he produced an outrageous assist with a rabona pass to set up Müller’s goal. There’s no stopping Lewandowski in the Bundesliga.

Substitutes

MID, Corentin Tolisso—7/10

Tolisso replaced Goretzka in the 51st minute. The French midfielder had one key pass had completed 90% of his passes. It was a strong performance from Tolisso off the bench and an encouraging one that he can be a go-to player in the midfield as a substitute.

RW, Mickaël Cuisance—7/10

Cuisance replaced Sane after he scored his first goal for Bayern. There wasn’t much for Cuisance to do when he entered as the match was already decided. This fixture wasn’t a good opportunity for Cuisance to show what he can do as a substitute as he was not under pressure to deliver a goal or an assist.

CB, Chris Richards—7/10

The American center back made just his second career appearance for Bayern’s first team. He came in and helped preserve the clean sheet after replacing Boateng. Richards intercepted a pass and completed 95% of his passes.

LW, Jamal Musiala-8/10

It was quite the match for Musiala as the 17-year-old scored his first goal for Bayern. He cut inside onto his right foot and blasted home what could be the first of many to come for him in a Bayern shirt. Musiala was impactful since entering the match for Gnabry and did exactly what Bayern need their substitutes to do this season. The young talent could get further opportunities off the bench this season after a strong first performance. He becomes the youngest goal scorer for Bayern in the Bundesliga.

CAM, Joshua Zirkee-7/10

A very brief appearance for Zirkee left little to work with for his rating. He only had two touches after entering for Müller in the 83rd minute. The young attacking player will hope to get more minutes and an earlier substitute appearance in the weeks to come.
