Goal of the season- Philippe Coutinho vs Werder Bremen

Some memorable goals were scored by Bayern Munich throughout the historic 2019/20 campaign. In my opinion, the best goal of the campaign was Philippe Coutinho’s second goal against Werder Bremen.

David Alaba decided to play a wonderful aerial ball to find Coutinho’s run in the box. The Brazilian timed his run to perfection to meet the pass. He took one touch and chipped it behind the goalkeeper. It was not a normal chip as the elevation of the chip was too high, but the nonchalance in the effort showed the level of skill Coutinho boasts. The ball was in the air for ages, but the technique was thoroughly executed by the Brazilian.

The goal effectively sealed the win against Werder Bremen at Allianz Arena in December. Coutinho went on to score the third goal to score his only hattrick in Bayern colours. The win against Bremen was the start of the unbeaten run, which is yet to be halted.

Coutinho might not have the season that he had expected to have in Bavaria, but he did manage to give us several memories. The goal against Bremen will be in the Bavarian faithful’s memory for a long time.
