Top away performance at Hoffenheim

After remembering Coutinho’s memorable performance at home turf, it would be fitting to recollect his best game away from Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga. The Brazilian forward had to wait till February for a perfect performance at a hostile pitch.

The away game against Hoffenheim will be remembered for the wrong reasons as players passed the ball each other after ultras abused the home side’s owner. From the game’s point of view, Coutinho will remember it for the right reasons as he grabbed a brace.

Coutinho started on the left flank and terrorized Hoffenheim’s defense. He linked up brilliantly with Thomas Muller for his second goal. In full flow, Coutinho was untouchable, and this was one of the few games where he looked like scoring from every opportunity he was getting inside and around the box. He was also creating chances for his teammates with ease.

The Brazilian international had nothing but positive words to say about Bayern. He would have ideally liked to stay in Germany since Die Roten are likely to be a force for some time. Irrespective of what happens in the future, Coutinho can always look back at 2019/20 as the best season of his career collectively and individually. The Brazilian will go down as cult hero amongst the Bavarian Faithful.

Obrigado Coutinho!
