Bayern Munich players step up big time against PSG to lift the Champions League.

Manager Rating

Hansi Flick — 9/10

Hansi Flick has done what Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, and Niko Kovac couldn’t do in the last six years. The German manager guided Bayern Munich to the second treble and brought European glory back at the club. Flick’s team selection was on the mark as he exploited PSG’s weakness on the right flank. His substitutes were very well timed in the second half as Die Roten showed maturity in seeing out the game.

Player Ratings

GK, Manuel Neuer — 9/10

Neuer continued his good form on Sunday. The German goalkeeper was a human wall on the night, denying PSG forwards on numerous occasions. He stopped Neymar from opening the scoring by making double saves in the first half. After getting the lead, Neuer used his long legs to stop Marquinhos from scoring the equalizer. The German goalkeeper has reclaimed the crown of the best goalkeeper in the world this season by coming up with big saves in big games.

DEF, Joshua Kimmich — 8.5/10

It was a tantalizing battle on the right flank between Joshua Kimmich and Kylian Mbappe. The German defender doesn’t have the pace to match Mbappe, but he was smart with his tackles and interceptions to stop the French superstar. He made a vital block to stop Mbappe from scoring in the first half. The German international rounded off a superb evening with a delightful hoick over PSG’s defense to find Coman for the goal.

DEF, Jerome Boateng — 6.5/10

Boateng had started the game on a positive note as he looked comfortable at the back against PSG’s menacing front three. However, his stay on the pitch was cut short after suffering in the injury during the 25th minute of the game.

DEF, David Alaba — 8/10

Apart from a big error in the first half when he gave the ball away to Mbappe at the edge of the box, David Alaba had a good game against the French Champions. The Austrian defended well and had a very good game on the ball. His line-breaking passes allowed Die Roten to comfortably build from the back.

DEF, Alphonso Davies — 7/10

Alphonso Davies looked nervous in the first half as Thilo Kehrer and Angel Di Maria were getting were beating him on the left flank. However, he showed a great deal of maturity to recover from this spell to show composure in the second half. The teenage full-back was composed on the ball when Bayern looked to manage the game after getting the lead. Not a trademark Davies performance, but it was still a solid outing for the teenager.
