Bayern Munich face a tricky challenge against Lyon in the CL semi-finals.

The Bavarians’ dream of winning a treble received a big boost last week after a terrific 8-2 win against Barcelona. Bayern Munich will be looking to book a place in the finals of the Champions League when they face Lyon in semi-finals on Wednesday.

Die Roten has been the best team in Europe in this calendar year. Hansi Flick has got the team playing swashbuckling football, scoring loads of goals irrespective of the opponent they are facing. The German manager has got the tune of the squad by instilling a robust system that makes them defensively solid and irresistible in the attack.

Lyon defied odds by delivering big performances against Juventus and Manchester City. They will not be playing in Europe after a disappointing Ligue 1 campaign, but they have been impressive in the Champions League this season. After two big results, Lyon will be confident about getting one more win to reach the final.

Both teams had a tough road to finals, so it could be a cagey affair in the semi-final. Die Roten have the quality in the attack to trouble any defense in the world, but Lyon has been defensively stubborn against some of the best forwards in the last two games. This clash has the making of yet another big game in Europe.
