Robert Lewandowski to continue goal-scoring spree for Bayern Munich

It has been a breath-taking season for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker has been enjoying the best campaign of his career, scoring 51 goals across all competition. It is a real shame that Ballon d’Or has been cancelled this year since the Polish striker was a leading candidate to win the award.

Apart from consistently scoring goals for Die Roten, there has been a drastic shift in Lewandowski’s overall game. He is working hard for the team and contributing heavily in the defensive phase. The Pole is also far more creative compared to previous campaigns, consistently creating chances for his teammates.

Lewandowski has also silenced his critics by turning up in big games this season. He has been scoring consistently against tough oppositions this season. With 11 goals in the Champions League this season, Lewandowski will come up with goods against the English side on Saturday.

The Poland international has missed out on golden boot after Ciro Immobile scored 36 goals in Serie A, overtaking his tally of 34 league goals. After missing out on that award, Lewandowski will be eager to be the top scorer in the Champions League and guide his team to the third trophy of the season. The Pole will be licking his lips to get back his rhythm against Chelsea as the English side has been struggling defensively this season.
