Three key predictions during the game between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

The Champions League football returns today after a long five-month break due to coronavirus pandemic. Bayern Munich will resume their European campaign on Saturday against Chelsea as they look to book place in the quarterfinals.

The return to football has been smooth for Die Roten. After winning 16 league games in the Bundesliga during Ruckrunde, Hansi Flick’s men clinched the Bundesliga title. The German champions also retained the DFB Pokal by beating Bayer Leverkusen in the finals.

Since Germany was the first country to restart football, Die Roten got few weeks off before resuming their season in Europe. This may work for and against them as other teams will be rhythm since most of the leagues concluded last weekend. However, Rekordmeister is the biggest favourite to win the Champions League due to their unbeaten run across all competitions in 2020.

Die Roten has been criticized in the past few seasons for not coming up with big performances against top European clubs. This trend has changed this season as they came up with dominating performances against Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea. Considering Die Roten’s form and players at Flick’s disposal, here are three predictions for tomorrow’s home game against Chelsea.
